My journey of building innovations
This article is taken from a tweet I wrote on May 1, 2021.
So first of all, I am Hemesh Chadalavada — a 14-year-old web developer and innovator. I received the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Shakti Puraskar for excellence in the field of Innovation this year.

So basically in the year 2019, I started making a wristband that monitors the health conditions and body movements of elderly and disabled people. I wanted to build this as my grandmother was suffering from Alzheimer’s.
By the end of 2019, I completed a basic prototype with an Arduino.
and started showing elderly communities like ARDSI in India. I received a really good response with some amazing feedback.
So with the help of my State Innovation Cell, I started improving my prototype and also applied for various innovation contests.
I applied for Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Shakti Puraskar — 2021, last year and I am honoured and thankful for the recognition I received for getting this award.
It is India’s highest civilian honour bestowed upon exceptional achievers under the age of 18.
